Size - 12" : Large and pale with a black collar on the back of its neck.  Squared off tail with white on the outside tips.

When I arrived here in 1990, the only place I ever saw Eurasion Collared Doves was on Boca Grande Island.  Now they are common in Englewood, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.  Often found in parking lots, they are larger than Mourning Doves and smaller than Rock Doves (Pigeons).  They are here year round and like to nest in tall trees.
