Size - 9" : Short black bill with black mask over eyes.  White belly and gray back.  Black on outside of wing.

The Loggerhead Shrike is found year round here. It is slightly smaller than a Mocking Bird and sits with its tail tipped a little bit farther down.  It has white patches on its wings and outside tips of the tail.  It uses short rapid wing beats and preys on small insects.
