Size - 18" :
Long slightly upcurved bill that starts
out pink and turns black. Overall
cinnamon or buffy color. In flight it has a cinnamon underwing.
The Marbled Godwit is an
uncommon
bird. It is found along the beaches and mudflats. I
photographed this pair near Stump Pass in July. The birds in the background
are Willets.
