Marbled Godwit

Size - 18" : Long slightly upcurved bill that starts out pink and turns black.   Overall cinnamon or buffy color.  In flight it has a cinnamon underwing.

The Marbled Godwit is an uncommon bird. It is found along the beaches and mudflats.  I photographed this pair near Stump Pass in July.  The birds in the background are Willets.
