Size - 11" : Reddish brown face and underparts.  In winter they have plain gray backs wtih gray breast and white belly.  Legs greenish.

The Red Knot is found along the beaches of Charlotte County during winter months.  They are usually seen in winter plumage.  The photos here show summer plumage and were taken in April of 2004.
