Size : 8"  Black bib and orange legs.  Black wings and brown head.  Wings have a visible white stripe in flight.

The ruddy Turnstone nests in the artic, but there are usually non nesting birds here in the summer as well as the winter residents.  They like the beaches, rip rap along salt-water canals and piers.
