Size : 12"  Blue Tail, head and wings.  Throat streaked with a blue collar.

The Florida Scrub Jay is found only in Florida. The latest study counts about 1600 birds.  Charlotte County is fortunate to have had a count of 429.  They are found in pairs or family groups.  They don't move much and once found you can usually find them again.  They are very friendly.  They will often come and eat out of your hand.  The young in their second year will stay with the clan to help raise a new brood.
