Size : 6"  Black bill and gray-black legs.  Partial neck ring.  Male has dark bar across the eye and on the forehead in summer.

The Snowy Plover can be found along the beach here in some locations. They can be seen here regularly at the north end of Palm Island near Stump Pass.  The County has a sanctuary there and Snowy and Wilson's Plovers nested there in small numbers last year.  I expect them to do the same this year.
